Born from the energy, culture, and creativity of Los Angeles, Epicenter Music began as the personal production identity of Los Angeles producer and artist Chazz “Fiyastarta” Padilla, working across Hip-Hop, House, and electronic music. The name was inspired by Los Angeles' earthquake history and the vision of making Epicenter the source of music that shakes up the industry.

What began as a name behind one producer's music evolved over more than three decades into The Epicenter Co. As the music grew, so did the vision, expanding beyond one artist and one sound into a global music company built around innovation, a distinct creative voice, exceptional talent, and the drive to leave a lasting mark on music history.

Today, The Epicenter Co. brings together Epicenter Music, Epicenter Trailer Music, Deranged Muzik, and Epicenter Production Music, connecting exceptional composers, producers, and sound designers with opportunities across film, television, streaming, advertising, sports, trailers, and entertainment worldwide.

Epicenter's evolution into the trailer music world began almost by accident. A trailer label discovered Chazz's Hip-Hop productions and asked him to “trailerize” them, opening the door to a new world of cinematic music. That unexpected opportunity eventually led to the creation of Epicenter Trailer Music and a new chapter for the company.

As a composer himself, Chazz understands the work, trust, and commitment behind every piece of music that enters the catalog. He personally listens to, develops, pitches, and pursues opportunities for Epicenter's composers and their music. We don't believe great music has an expiration date. If Chazz believes a track deserves an opportunity, he keeps pushing it.
