PHATT
TRAXX: WHAT DO I DO NOW? |
Thank you for your
order! Now that you have opened Phatt Traxx,
you might wonder, "What do I do now?".
First pop it into a CD player, give all tracks
a listen, then choose about three to four songs
you are vibin' to for your demo. If you're a
rapper you should be able to flow right over
these tracks. Singers could start singin' a
melody, once you got your melody, start working
on the lyrics. It's always best to record yourself
with a hand held recorder (about $15 at electronic
stores). This is for writing purposes only,
so that you won't forget what ya just did. Now
it takes some time to write a song, so don't
get frustrated if it doesn't come to you the
first time. Song layouts should consist of an
intro (some ad-libbing), first verse, hook (make
it catchy), second verse, hook, etc.. Complete
song layout/structure of all Phatt Traxx Instrumentals
can be found on our website www.epicentermusic.com.
Once your lyrics are composed, then it's time
to lay down your vocals. There are a few ways
to do this: 1) A karaoke machine, 2) at home
using a 4-Track/ 8-Track, etc., or 3) recording
studio. If you choose to use a recording studio,
check your internet or yellow pages for local
studios, let them know you have a finished track
on a CD and all you need to do is lay down your
vocals over it (you have just saved yourself
hundreds, even thousands of dollars in studio
time by having Phatt Traxx). Then, complete
entry form, and send it in along with your CD
or cassette containing your vocals over Phatt
Traxx song(s), and lyric sheet by March 31,
2006. |
